You are invited to an Open House at Hawai’i Montessori Schools Kona Campus

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

Hawai’i Montessori Schools’ Kona Campus invites you to an Open House on Wednesday, October 12th, 8:30 – 11:00 a.m.

You will have an opportunity to visit the classrooms of our Toddler (ages 15-36 mos.) and Primary (ages 3-6 yrs) Programs, meet current families, learn about the school and its programs including financial aid opportunities, and meet faculty members and administrators.

Hawaii Montessori Schools has been part of the West Hawaii community since 1980. The school provides quality education for children ages 15 months through 6 years of age using the principles and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori. The classroom environments are well prepared and allow the children to develop at their own speed, according to each child’s own capacities in a non-competitive atmosphere. Learning takes place through the child’s own discovery and experience. Observers of Montessori students have described them as having developed self-discipline, self-knowledge, self-esteem and independence, as well as enthusiasm for learning, an organized approach to problem solving, and academic skills. Hawaii Montessori Schools has been recognized on the State and Federal levels as being an excellent provider of early childhood education.

Relay for Life

Monday, April 19th, 2010

This year, Hawaii Montessori Schools will be helping save lives from cancer by taking part in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life at the Old Airport in Kailua-Kona on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, 2010.  We are hoping you will support us.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives people in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At the Relay For Life, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.  Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

In addition to helping people celebrate, remember, and fight back, Relay For Life also helps raise much-needed funds and awareness to help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer.

Please support Hawai’i Montessori Schools in our efforts by clicking on the following link to to make a secure, tax-deductible online donation.

Donate to The Relay For Life

Every donation really does make a difference. I know that times are tighter than normal for many of us, but any amount you can give truly
can help save lives.

You see, thanks to your support, the American Cancer Society can:

  • Help people stay well by helping them take steps to prevent cancer or detect it early, when it’s most treatable
  • Help people get well by being in their corner around the clock to guide them through every step of their cancer experience.
  • Find cures by funding groundbreaking research that helps us understand cancer’s causes, determine how best to prevent it, and discover new ways to cure it
  • Fight back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight

Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against cancer; whatever your reasons, we hope you’ll choose to make a difference by making a donation online to support our efforts. Together we can save lives.

Thank you and we will keep you updated on our progress. To learn more about Relay For Life, please visit RelayForLife.org
